It is estimated that:

• 1 billion people living in remote rural areas has available only a very short quantity of water and this water is also of very low quality

• a similar number of people is not connected to the electric grid or to any other source of electric energy

The quality of water from the traditional well

Among the arms of the equipment is possible to see a small green wood: it is the place where a diesel engine lift the water of high quality, from a deeper well, for a turistic village.

This, in a certain way, shows the need of electric energy to obtain water of good quality
